Barcelona, September 23rd – Workfully, the Barcelona-based platform redefining recruiting by empowering recruiter solopreneurs, today announced a €4 million seed round. The investment was led by Shilling (VC arm of Draycott), with participation from existing backers Indico Capital, Pitchdrive, and Secways.
Founded in 2022 in Barcelona, Workfully is on a mission to build the world’s most trusted recruitment experience by putting recruiters—not agencies—at the center.
Unlike traditional marketplaces that bypass recruiters, Workfully enables them to own and monetize their talent audiences, much like creators do with subscribers on platforms such as Substack or YouTube.
“Recruiters have always been the hidden force behind great companies, but they’ve never truly owned the value they create,” said Valerio Rossi, CEO and co-founder of Workfully. “Workfully changes that. We give recruiters the tools to turn their networks into scalable digital businesses.”

Most importantly companies can pay a flexible monthly subscription to the recruiters they need, instead of high commissions fees to recruiting agencies. Making Workfully 60% cheaper on average.
Already, global players such as Semrush, BlackBerry, Delivery Hero (Glovo), OLX, Mammut, TravelPerk, and 30+ others rely on Workfully for international hiring.
The seed round came together in just over 30 days, closing oversubscribed at €4M+. The momentum reflects both Workfully’s early traction and investor appetite for AI-powered platforms.
With the new funding, Workfully will:
